Lulama graduated in 2016 from Trinity College in Connecticut, USA with BA in Biology. She has previously interned with the Kwa-Zulu Natal Research Institute for HIV and TB (K-RITH) in Dr. Thumbi Ndung’u’s lab, the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Pretoria and the NIH in the US.
